Free Reverse Paste Keyframe

User Guide for "Reverse Paste" Script

This script provides two main features to help streamline keyframe editing in After Effects:

1. Paste Reverse Keyframes – Automatically reverses and pastes keyframes to create a mirrored animation.
2. Set Velocity to Zero – Sets the velocity of selected keyframes to zero, ensuring no unwanted speed changes.

How to Use

1. Paste Reverse Keyframes

• Function: Reverses the order of selected keyframes and pastes them at a specific point on the timeline.
• How to Use:
  1. Select a layer and a property with keyframes.
  2. Click the "Paste Reverse Keyframes" button in the Reverse Paste panel.
  3. The keyframes will be reversed and pasted at the appropriate time on the timeline.
  4. Preview the result to check for any unwanted velocity changes.

2. Set Velocity to Zero

• Function: Sets the Incoming and Outgoing Velocity of selected keyframes to 0, ensuring smooth animation.
• How to Use:
  1. If you notice slight velocity changes after using "Paste Reverse Keyframes":
     • Select the affected keyframes.
  2. Click the "Set Velocity to Zero" button in the Reverse Paste panel.
  3. The selected keyframes’ velocity will be automatically set to zero.
  4. Preview the result again to ensure the animation looks as expected.

Why is "Set Velocity to Zero" Important?

When using the "Paste Reverse Keyframes" feature, keyframe velocity often changes due to reversed interpolation. The "Set Velocity to Zero" function helps quickly fix this issue without needing to manually adjust each keyframe one by one.

Additional Tips

• Use these two features in a logical order: first, apply Paste Reverse Keyframes, then if necessary, use Set Velocity to Zero to correct any unwanted changes.
• Ensure that the selected layer and property contain relevant keyframes before applying the script.
